The International Space Station shared a unique photo from space
Matthew Dominick, a NASA astronaut aboard the International Space Station, has shared a fascinating time-lapse video taken from the ISS. The video features nighttime images taken just before sunrise. In his social media post, Dominick wrote, “Time lapse at night just before sunrise. If you watch carefully, at one point you can see a meteor heading towards Earth,” Dominick wrote in his social media post.
This impressive video shows aurora lights, orbiting satellites, bright stars and the streak of light from a meteor heading towards Earth. The meteor appears as a fast streak of light at 32 seconds into the video. One viewer commented, “How can you do business up there? I would have spent the whole time just admiring it!”, emphasizing how impressive Dominick’s footage was.
Dominick arrived at the ISS in March as part of the SpaceX Crew-8 mission. Since then, he has been sharing creative photos and videos with his followers, both from inside and outside the station. Dominick also shares the camera settings of his photos and gives important tips to those interested in photography. For those among the astronauts who are interested in photography, the ISS offers an excellent experience while watching the Earth from 250 miles above.
Another talented photographer who has visited the ISS in recent years is French astronaut Thomas Pesquet. Pesquet had a talent for taking breathtaking photographs, which he admitted required a great deal of planning.
The International Space Station offers astronauts the opportunity to take unique and fascinating photographs. The time-lapse video shared by Matthew Dominick is just one of those opportunities. Dominick’s posts show how fascinating and impressive time spent in space can be.
